For this project, Glenn Hogue and myself were asked to Produce the music for a brand new show called Colours Of Life.
Glenn relentlessly worked through the night to arrange the music and orchestrate it and then we spent two solid weeks in the studio recording everything; our founding belief is that we should use as many live musicians as possible as apposed to sample libraries.
The thing that I found particularly exciting about this project is that integration between and Sound, Video and Lights came at a very early stage in the process; meshing the different departments in such a way made a significant difference to the final production value.
On top of that I led the Sound Design for the show and was fortunate enough to be programming the Meyer Constellation and Cue Station system. We had control of each individual speaker in the theatre, all one hundred and fifty one! This allowed me to create trajectories to place and move sounds around the venue, creating a truly immersive experience.
